Psoriatic Arthritis
Psoriatic arthritis is an inflammatory joint disease associated with psoriasis. It is characterized by psoriatic skin lesions and can cause pain, swelling, tenderness, stiffness, and limited movement in the joints and surrounding soft tissues. Some patients may also have sacroiliitis and/or spondylitis. The condition may persist over time and is prone to relapse; in advanced stages, joint ankylosis may develop and lead to disability.
