Traditional Actions and Indications
Gui Zhi Tang is traditionally used for manifestations of exterior wind-cold with disharmony between Ying and Wei, including fever, aversion to wind, headache, nasal congestion, and spontaneous sweating. In modern applications, it is commonly used for some cases of the common cold or in people with relatively mild exterior symptoms accompanied by sweating. Suitability should be assessed based on the specific manifestations.
Precautions

- Pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, older adults, and people with chronic diseases are advised to consult a qualified professional before use.
- Directions for use and dosage may vary among different brands and dosage forms. Refer to the instructions for the specific product.
- If symptoms continue to worsen or serious discomfort such as difficulty breathing or chest pain occurs, seek medical attention promptly.
