|TCM Approach

Clinical Description:

清热利湿,行气利胆

Plain-Language Explanation:

  • By clearing internal heat and draining excess dampness, this approach may help reduce fever and stickiness, and relieve discomforts such as stuffiness, fatigue, bitter sticky mouth, heavy body, thick greasy tongue coating, and scanty yellow urine.
  • By regulating qi movement and promoting the smooth flow and excretion of bile, this approach may gradually ease rib distension and chest oppression, and help relieve such issues as bitter taste with poor appetite, nausea, acid reflux, post-meal fullness, and yellow urine.

|TCM Approach

Clinical Description:

清热解毒,通腑泻火

Plain-Language Explanation:

  • By clearing internal heat and turbid toxins, this approach may help subdue signs of “flaring up,” relieving discomforts such as fever with agitation, sore swollen throat, mouth/tongue sores, and red, swollen, hot painful skin.
  • By freeing the bowels and promoting excretion to carry away “fire-heat” through the stool, this method may help descend the fire and relieve issues like dry hard stools, straining bowel movements, abdominal bloating and pain, foul breath, and dry mouth.
